So it was clear that he had traveled to Amsterdam from Germany. The man also had a key ring from the PSI, the socialist party in Italy. Because the man was also wearing Italian brand clothing, the police suspected that the man was Italian.
Tip after newspaper article
Last May, a tip came in to the Coldcase Affairs Foundation. About an old Italian newspaper article, in which the now 39-year-old Ciro says he is looking for his father. The article included a photo of the missing Rugiero. “And with a little imagination, it actually looked a lot like the unknown dead person from Amsterdam,” says Sander Meyer, director of the Coldcase Affairs Foundation.
