The AFC Sunderland reaches deep into the pockets after climbing the Premier League. With Simon ADINGRA, the fifth access for a double -digit million sum was already presented on Thursday. The 23 -year -old wing striker comes from league competitor Brighton & Hove Albion and signed a contract until 2030.

According to agreed media reports, ADINGRA costs 21 million pounds, around 26 million euros. There can also be bonus payments in an unknown amount. The expenses of the Black Cats, which had previously hired Habib Diarra (RC Strasbourg), Enzo Le Fée (as Rome), Chemsdine Talbi (Club Bruges) and Noah Sadiki (Union SG) for high sums and Reinildo Mandava (Atlético Madrid), increase to EUR 115.5 million.

It is not uncommon for the promoters to invest a lot of money in England’s highest division. In the previous year, Ipswich Town (EUR 152.6 million) and FC Southampton (EUR 122.2 million) were found under the latest clubs worldwide – and nevertheless immediately relegated the championship. As an eleventh promoted football history, Sunderland is now cracking the 100 million mark.

ADINGRA had demonstrated his Premier League qualities at Brighton in the past two years after he was hired by FC Nordsjaelland for 8 million euros in 2022 and initially spent one year at Union SG. In the end, twelve goals and five templates in 73 games were not enough to sustainably prevail against the great competition at the Seagulls. There are currently four left and right wing in the Brighton squad, including the Youngster Tom Watson (19), who was hired this summer in return from Sunderland.
