Aerosmith’s tour days may be behind them, but that doesn’t mean that their saga is over. They recently went to the studio with Yungblud to record the five titles comprehensive “One More Time” together with producer Mark Schwartz. It will be released on November 21, but the first single “My Only Angel” can already be heard.

Yungblud met Aerosmith when he invited her to the studio for a guest appearance in his song “Hello Heaven, Hello”. They got on so well that their plans were quickly expanded to an EP. This contains four original songs and a new mix of the Aerosmith classic “Back in the Saddle”.

At the beginning of this month, Yungblud stood on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards together with Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt to honor Ozzy Osbourne.

What will the future of Aerosmith look like?

In 2023, Aerosmith broke her “Peace Out… Farewell” tour after three concerts because Steven Tyler had destroyed the larynx on stage. Months later they announced their retreat from the tour business. “Unfortunately, it is clear that a complete recovery of his vocal cord injury is not possible,” the band wrote in a statement. “We made a heartbreaking and difficult but necessary decision-as a band of brothers-to withdraw from the tour stage.”

Tyler has not played complete concerts since the announcement, but he performed at several special events, including at Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell concert “Back to the Beginning”, where he sang without difficulty. Joe Perry, on the other hand, was on the road with a newly formed version of the Joe Perry Project, which includes Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford, Stone-Temple-Pilots bass player Robert Deleo and Black-Crowes Frontmann Chris Robinson.

On September 17th, Tyler surprisingly could be seen with the Joe Perry Project in the Hollywood Bowl, where they appeared as a opening advocate for The WHO to play “Walk This Way” and “The Train Kept a rollin”. This was what came closest to a complete reunification of Aerosmith on stage since the shortened farewell tour because three of the five members were together.

Tyler, Perry, Whitford and Bassist Tom Hamilton were involved in the studio recordings for “One More Time”. However, drummer Joe Kramer was missing. It was replaced by the former Guns-N ‘-Roses drummer Matt Sorum.

Now there is the possibility in the air that at some point in the future there could be a real last Aerosmith gig. “There must be at least another Aerosmith concert, and I’m not looking forward to putting the set list together,” Perry said to Eddie Trunk in June. “But I don’t know, man. We’ll just have to wait.”
