Both companies must pay a fine for their negligence and carelessness. Van Ginkel from Barneveld has to pay 75,000 euros as supplier of the ‘life-threatening – and therefore unsound – work equipment’, of which 25,000 euros is conditional. Brinks Transport from Rijssen has to pay 40,000 euros as an employer, of which 10,000 euros is conditional. Both companies will be given a probationary period of three years.
