ADVA (FSE: ADV) today expanded its Ensemble Sync Director GNSS assurance software to provide large-scale integration with third-party GNSS receiver observables. Ensemble Sync Director, a key pillar of aPNT+technology from ADVA, is now vendor independent, bringing a secure, robust and reliable PNT to more customers than ever before. Ensemble Sync Director can now transparently display and analyze GNSS observables from third-party receivers, even in the largest deployments. This is crucial as satellite signal based synchronization is prone to outages, interference and cyber threats and hence network operators urgently need to protect their critical timing through continuous monitoring and security. Now they have the ability to remotely detect problems with any manufacturer’s GNSS receiver, maintaining timekeeping quality, avoiding interruptions and reducing operational costs.
“The number of deployed GNSS devices is increasing every day, and many networks now rely on hundreds or even thousands of receivers. At the same time, the risks to satellite-based timekeeping have never been greater, including the increasing threat of jamming and spoofing attacks.By expanding our GNSS Assurance application capabilities beyond our own timing devices, we are enabling many more customers to protect their mission-critical synchronization in new or already deployed infrastructure,” said Gil Biran, GM of Oscilloquartz, ADVA. “Our Ensemble Sync Director with full GNSS assurance for resilient and secure PNT offers a simple, scalable and highly cost-effective way to leverage our unique experience and expertise in managing large numbers of GNSS-dependent network elements.”
ADVA’s Oscilloquartz GNSS Assurance solution for integrating third-party receiver data is an extension of the Sync Director application, which is part of the Ensemble Controller network management platform. It provides central monitoring and analysis of GNSS health and reliability, as well as AI/ML-based prediction and prevention of obstructions, jamming and spoofing. Using topology and timing chain mapping, Ensemble Sync Director presents the entire timing network infrastructure in an easy-to-use graphical format. ADVA’s GNSS security features are aligned with the goals of the DHS Resilient PNT Conformance Framework and the future IEEE P1952 Resilient PNT Standard designed to protect critical infrastructure. The new solution, available through ADVA Professional Services, is ideal for network operators in the telecom, utility, financial trading, data center and other sectors who need to ensure robust, reliable and resilient GNSS timing. It also offers significant value to system integrators looking to add important GNSS protection capabilities to their synchronization portfolio.
“People are increasingly aware of the risk factors affecting GNSS-dependent systems, as well as the high price that an interruption can bring. Whether they want to address PNT regulations or respond to the precrete geopolitical situation As more and more network operators take urgent measures to protect their timing architectures with robust and secure PNT capabilities, we extend our GNSS Assurance software with real-time monitoring to integrate the data from third-party timing receivers and bring more customers into the to proactively protect their critical infrastructures,” commented Michael Port, VP of Product Line Management at ADVA. “Our new offering is scalable and easy to implement, delivering immediate value. In addition, Ensemble Sync Director supports open integration, enabling end-to-end vendor-agnostic network synchronization and timing management.”
