Adriatica Ionica, Fortunato goes hunting for an encore

The short stage race started from Tarvisio directed by Moreno Argentin. Final on the 8th in Ascoli Piceno

Young – it was born in 2018 -, but already with a tradition behind it as a beautiful springboard. The Adriatica Ionica Race, organized under the direction of 1986 world champion Moreno Argentin, returns to the format of 5 stages (last year it was reduced to three) and in the roll of honor it can count on important names. The names of the final winners are in fact those of Ivan Sosa, Mark Padun and Lorenzo Fortunato, but for example a certain Remco Evenepoel obtained his first success in Italy in this race, in 2019. Remaining at this edition which begins on Saturday, Lorenzo Fortunato (Eolo-Kometa) will go hunting for an encore after a Giro d’Italia that falls short of expectations
