ADO Den Haag booked a narrow victory over FC Eindhoven in the second round of the play-offs for promotion on Tuesday. Thanks in part to a phenomenal header by Thomas Verheydt, the home team won 2-1.

Thirty-year-old Verheydt headed the ball in through the inside of the post after half an hour from about 15 meters. With that, he made it 2-0 in a spectacular way, which was prepared by Boy Kemper.

Verheydt was also important with the opening goal, with an assist. The attacker brought in Dhoraso Klas, who opened the score with a nice swipe into the far corner.

ADO, which had settled with NAC Breda in the first round of the play-offs, had little trouble with Eindhoven and left several opportunities to further expand the score after the break.
