Adler increases quarterly sales by around 28 percent

The clothing retailer Adler Modemärkte GmbH started 2023 with a significant increase in sales. In the first quarter, gross sales reached EUR 88.4 million, exceeding the level of the same period last year by 28.4 percent, the company announced on Tuesday.

Despite the adverse conditions, the retail chain is “currently stable,” according to a statement. After the insolvency in 2021 and the subsequent takeover by the Zeitfracht conglomerate, “the new structure succeeded in getting the company back on track in the long term, despite a more than challenging environment,” explained Adler. The clothing supplier was therefore “cautiously optimistic about the course of the year as a whole, although the mood in the industry is one of crisis”.
