Adidas Originals has opened its first flagship store in China.
The store in Chengdu is located in Majiaxiang Asarm, a centuries-old cultural building. It was built of stone and wood in 1840 in the late Qing Dynasty, the Herzogenaurach sports goods manufacturer said. Located in the Sino-Ocean Chengdu Taikooli shopping district, the building has three rooms and a courtyard.
Modern design elements meet original features of the building. The rooms are connected by a glass structure. The sales area is 367 square meters.
The new flagship was opened on January 14th.
