Adidas opens its second European Terrex store in Salzburg, expanding its presence in the Alps.
On a sales area of 176 square meters, the store offers the outdoor product segment of the sports goods retailer from Herzogenaurach, Adidas announced on Wednesday. This includes technical product solutions that have been created with athletes, sustainability-oriented products and collections for hiking, mountaineering, trail running, mountain biking and winter sports.
“The new Adidas Terrex store brings nature into a retail environment. By using natural materials and cutting-edge technologies, the store demonstrates Adidas’ commitment to innovation and sustainability,” says Ronald Reijmers, Vice President Retail Adidas Europe. “We create a connection between our brand and our values and the needs and interests of our consumers.”
The doors of the first European Terrex flagship opened in Munich in November 2021. With a sales area of 370 square meters, this is significantly larger than the new location at Kranzlmarkt 4 in Salzburg. At the end of last year, the outdoor line also expanded into Canada, opening a store in Vancouver.
“Besides Munich, Salzburg, with its location on the northern edge of the Alps and its international audience, is another center for Adidas Terrex in our DACH focus region,” said Marc Fischer, Senior Director Adidas Terrex Europe. “The new Adidas Terrex concept store offers us the opportunity to expand our brand presence in the Alpine region, to make Adidas Terrex tangible for consumers and to show our unique product range.”
