Adidas opens new running-focused store in Mexico

Adidas has opened a new store in Mexico City with a special focus on running.

Running is becoming more and more popular with Mexicans, which is why the sports goods retailer in Herzogenaurach has given this area a lot of attention in the new store, Adidas announced. However, products from the football segment and the Originals lifestyle line will also be available.

In addition to the sporting component, the local culture should also play an important role. Adidas therefore teamed up with the four artists Oscar Torres, Chavis Marmol, Daniela Chiñas and Vera Primavera to design the store. The creative people have brought together the themes of sport and the diversity and beauty of the country and implemented them in various objects. This includes an oversized running shoe that has been painted.

In addition to the physical experience, there are also multiple digital touchpoints, creating a connection between digital and physical. There are experts in the field of running on site who can advise customers and at the same time help them improve their performance – this includes recommending running routes that can be called up via the Garmin app.

For creative customers there is also the opportunity to try out the logo of the line in the Originals area. To do this, the logo is downloaded with a QR code and you can let your creativity run free. But even the youngest customers get a creative offer in the store, where they can color in the brand’s products on a big screen.
