Dortmund (dpa) – After the commitments of Nico Schlotterbeck and Niklas Süle, the transfer of another German national soccer player to Borussia Dortmund is approaching.
Karim Adeyemi should sign with BVB shortly, reported Sport1. Completion is expected by the middle of the month. “We are in very good talks with BVB and are entering the home straight,” said Adeyemi’s adviser Thomas Solomon Sport1.
Most recently, Dortmund’s managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke once again confirmed the great interest in the 20-year-old Adeyemi, who is currently playing for Red Bull Salzburg. According to media reports, the striker is to receive a contract for a period of five years. Both clubs are said to have agreed on the transfer. The three-time national player’s contract with RB runs until June 30, 2024.
Dortmund announced Schlotterbeck’s signing from SC Freiburg on Monday. After Niklas Süle from FC Bayern Munich, the defender is the second BVB signing for the coming season. Both internationals should help stabilize Borussia’s shaky defense, which has already conceded 50 goals in 32 Bundesliga games.
