Adele rejects fan’s marriage proposal: “I’m straight, my love”

The singer also refers to Rich Paul as her “husband.”

While Adele is performing as part of her residency in Las Vegas, she experiences some absurd fan encounters. This apparently also includes declarations of love of all kinds, as it turned out at one of their past shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

While the “Rolling In The Deep” singer made her way into the audience area, an admirer asked for her hand in marriage. Adele reportedly reacted with surprise. “You can’t marry me, I’m straight, my love,” she rejected the proposal. She also admitted that her “husband” was there that evening, by which the musician meant her partner Rich Paul. The sports agent and the singer have been in a relationship for about two years. No wedding has been officially confirmed yet.

When Adele’s fan pressed her further and asked if she wanted to consider the possibility of marriage, the singer rushed away. “No, I don’t want to try. “You’re crazy, leave me alone,” said the artist, laughing as she walked away.

The final live show of the “Weekends With Adele” concert series is scheduled to take place on November 4th. So that the performances can take place without interruption, the singer wants to stay away from the audience from now on – so as not to get sick. “I’ll be damned if I cancel another one of these shows. “I refuse to cancel any shows,” Adele said. “I just can’t risk getting sick. Honestly, my immune system is shot and I want to be close to you guys and stuff but I just can’t risk it.”
