Family clinic De Borch of Addiction Care Northern Netherlands in Eelderwolde was evacuated on Sunday evening. Staff alerted the fire brigade when they smelled a strange smell of rotten eggs.
Mothers with children were present in the clinic. Some of the clients have been accommodated elsewhere, others waited in fire trucks for a definite answer.
That came just before ten o’clock. Measurements by the fire service showed that the odor was harmless. What caused it remained unclear. Clients were allowed back in after the tests.
