Adana Demirspor Technical Director Patrick Kluivert: We will go as far as we can in Europe

Despite losing 3-2 away to Croatia representative Osijek in the third qualifying round of the UEFA European Conference League, Patrick Kluivert, coach of Yukatel Adana Demirspor, said that they were sad to lose but they were happy to pass the round.

Speaking at the press conference held after the fight at the Opus Arena, the Dutch coach stated that they knew that the opponent would start the match under pressure and they expected a tough game.

Stating that Osijek played better than them in the first 20 minutes, Kluivert said, “After that, we concentrated on the match again and started playing our own football. The goals we conceded in the match are sad. We conceded one goal from the penalty spot and 2 goals from the ball. We are sad that we lost but we passed the round. “We are very happy. We have reached our goal. We knew there would be a game like this and we were ready for it.” used the phrases.

Expressing that he was uncomfortable with the situation after the opponent’s third goal, Kluivert continued as follows:

“After the third goal, we started playing our own football again. Now we will face Genk. We will make all our preparations against Genk. After determining our strategies, we will go on the field with the best 11. But we will learn the lessons we need to learn from our own mistakes. We are also very happy for our fans. “We are very happy for whoever supports Adana Demirspor. I am also happy to have contributed to this issue. We will go as far as we can in Europe. We are also impatient to embrace them again.”

Saying that Osijek is a good team and will be in a good spot in the future, Kluivert said, after a press member asked if he wanted a transfer after missed goals, he said:

“Obviously we could have scored more goals in this game, but we are all human. I don’t think the team needs a boost because of the missed goals in this game.”
