National team player Adam Hemerka was shocked in a Finnish pub.
A floorball player who moved to Tampere from the Czech Republic Adam Hemerka brings Finnish beer to his home country In Denik magazine.
– I don’t know if you can even call it beer. It’s absolutely horrible, says Hemerka.
The 21-year-old national team defender moved to Tampere Classic this season. He says that he went out with his teammates.
– Maybe it would be better if they came to me in the Czech Republic and I showed them what they are missing out on, Hemerka quips, referring to the drinking culture of her country.
– Here in Finland, they drink “tentacle”, which is a sweet drink, but I don’t like the local beer at all.
Finland’s cold winter has also been a bit of a culture shock for Central Europeans.
– After the New Year, the temperature dropped to at least -20. It was hell. If the sun is shining, everyone is in a good mood, but when it’s dark and raining, it’s crazy. There is no way to survive without a cap and warm socks, Hemerka tells about her experiences.
