Mark Slats (45) from Wassenaar became world news two years ago after he rowed across the Atlantic Ocean with partner Kai Wiedmer in 32 days. That was not crazy enough for Slats, because from Sunday he will do ten triathlons in ten days. His motivation? His late mother. ‘She asked if I wanted to take her ashes with me during my challenges.’
