ACV calls for more attention for joint pain: back-friendly work environments are important
As employees get older, workable work becomes more and more important. That is why ACV asks companies to pay attention to less stressful working conditions.
More than half of employees have complaints
At the printing press of media company Roularta, they have adapted a number of machines so that employees have to lift less and can perform their job at an ideal working height. Ahmed, for example, no longer has to bend or lift the cutting machine, which significantly reduces the risk of back pain.
Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) is the most common work-related health problem. When you have MSA, the cells in your brain are damaged in several places. The damaged cells eventually die. This causes, for example, breathing problems or difficulty in moving. Of the Belgian employees, 62 percent report having one or more MSA-related health problems.
