ACV and Oranje Nassau continue to perform surprisingly well in the women’s top class. Last season both teams fought against relegation. ON is competing for the title and ACV is neatly in the middle of the pack.
Oranje Nassau won 2-1 against Ter Leede in Sassenheim. Due to the defeat of leader Saestum, ON has come within three points of the top ranking, but Eindhoven and DTS Ede are still in between. Trainer Nanne Iedema was satisfied: “It was an ugly victory, but nice of course.”
Bobby Dijkstra scores after a beautiful marker
ON had traveled to South Holland battered, because striker Renée Huizinga was sick in bed. Carolien Vegter, Eva Klomp and Bobby Dijkstra could not play 90 minutes. After seven minutes ON fell behind. Even before the break, Dijkstra completely repaired the damage suffered. First via a beautiful marker (1-1) and then she used a rebound.
Sanne Beerta opened with a nice pass, Marieke Baas stranded on the keeper and Dijkstra was as cool as ever: 1-2. She then left the field with minor hamstring problems. Iedema: “We are continuing well.”
‘We had more quality’
ACV played a similar match against DSS in Haarlem in terms of score, but coach Freddy Bollegraaf was more positive about his team’s play: “Deserved victory, we won based on more quality.” Pascalle Pomper shot two before half time. turn on the pole. ACV already had many more chances than DSS.
Chantal Nijboer hits from a distance
After the goal change, ACV fell behind. Chantal Nijboer hammered in the 1-1 from a distance and Pascalle Pomper scored the winner with a beautiful volley. Goalkeeper Isabella Slump, in collaboration with Sanne de Goede, Lisa Velthuis, Denise Boes, Marith Jaeger and in the final phase Leanne Ringelberg, kept things closed relatively easily.
Bollegraaf: “We had no more problems after that and took the points to Asen. The results provide peace of mind.”
