Actors and film studios in US reach provisional agreement | Showbiz

The actors began their strike in mid-July, demanding a higher minimum wage, a share in the revenue of streaming services and protection against “digital replicas” of the actors by artificial intelligence.

SAG-AFTRA said the agreement was reached with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), which includes Walt Disney and Netflix.

If the members agree, Hollywood production can run at full speed again for the first time since May.
