Morse received five Emmy nominations for his role as Bertram Cooper in the US advertising drama series in the 1950s. He won the statue earlier in his career for his role in Tru in 1993. He previously received a Tony Award for that same role.
Although Morse was known to the general public for his roles on television, he was primarily a theater actor. “I love going to the theater early and going on stage with that one light on,” he said in 1989 in The New York Times. Morse leaves behind a wife and four children.
