American actor Philip Baker Hall is dead. Hall was 90 years old at the time of his death. Known for his number of side roles, his career as a veteran actor lasted more than 50 years.
Los Angeles Times reporter Sam Farmer reported the death on his Twitter account on Monday. Hall’s family tells the People site he died at his home in Glendale.

– My neighbor, my friend and one of the wisest, most talented and kindest people I have met in Philip Baker Hall has died peacefully last night. He was surrounded by loved ones. There is now empty space in the world, Farmer writes.

Hall’s best-known roles include the film Magnoia, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, and Boogie Nights. In addition to this, Hall has been seen in the TV series Seinfeld and The Modern Family.
– It’s always nice to be a part of one of the best TV shows. The modern family is a good program and I’m grateful for the time I got there, Hall commented on av’s role in 2012.
