Actor Aapo Vilhunen has died at the age of 87. Vilhunen died in the hospital on Wednesday morning, August 30.
The sad news for Iltalehti is confirmed by Vilhusen Ireland-widow. The couple stayed together for more than 65 years.
– He had been ill for several months before his death, Irja says.
Vilhunen is remembered as an actor in the Suomen Kansallisteatteri, among others, and for a few supporting roles in the Uuno Turhapuro films. Vilhunen also voted for the Finnish language Blinky Bill for Mr. Vompat from the series.
In 2013, Vilhuse was awarded the gold medal of the Central Association of Finnish Theater Associations.
