Daat-Drenthe, part of GGZ Drenthe, offers day care or reintegration programs for people with psychological problems. In April it became clear that Daat-Drenthe is closing its doors. GGZ Drenthe has decided this because the work-learning companies are loss-making. Employees and participants took to the streets earlier to hand out flyers in order to get attention and prevent closure.
As a result, many of the 45 counselors had to look for a new job and the hundreds of clients were relocated.
