Activists jump into basin and disrupt dolphin show in Bruges

Armed with banners, two animal rights activists dived into the basin of the Bruges dolphinarium yesterday afternoon. “Stop shows with animals” was their unmistakable message. The activists are part of ‘Vegan Strike Group’, an organization that fights against the presentation of animals in entertainment shows.

Due to the unexpected turn of events, the dolphin show was stopped and the public, who was in large numbers, had to leave the hall for a while. The police arrived on the spot and administratively detained the two until after the closure of the park. Shortly afterwards, the show resumed.
