A reading series starts in the Hugo van der Goes exhibition. Among others, actor Samuel Finzi reads. BZ presents the program.
Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) and also the old Dutch master Hugo van der Goes (around 1440-1482/83) were affected: they were great artists and mentally ill. The reading series “Words between meaning, art and madness” starts on May 19, 2023 in the Van der Goes exhibition in the Picture Gallery.
Sina Martens (34) by the Berliner Ensemble begins with “It’s Britney, Bitch” about Britney Spears and the Britney in all of us. June 2, 2023 actress reads Bibiana Beglau (51) from Allen Ginsburg’s Howl. It is considered the most important poem of the Beat Generation.
Nikolai Gogol’s Diary of a Madman is scheduled for June 16, 2023. It is reading Sam Finzi (57), who works at the Deutsches Theater and at the Burg in Vienna. Just like his celebrity colleagues, he is often represented in films. The ticket for the reading includes a visit to the exhibition (7 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.).
