In the series ‘The words of’, the International School of Philosophy (ISVW) allows newly arrived thinkers to talk to new talents. Leonie Wolters interviewed Hans Achterhuis, the first Thinker Laureate (2011) and author of popular books on topics such as utopias, violence and faith. This setup is challenging, especially for the interviewee, who is questioned about his thoughts over the past fifty years. These are not always obvious for a new generation.
