It has long been known that Kiss ex-guitarist Ace Frehley will be performing solo at the Creatures Festival. But now an old acquaintance is joining them: The Frehleys headlining set will be accompanied by ex-colleague Peter Criss on drums.

This means that not only two former members of the band will attend the event. The participation of Vinnie Vincent and Bruce Kulick, also both guitarists of the band at the time, was also confirmed. The event, which now resembles a Kiss nostalgia reunion, will take place over the weekend of May 27-29 in Nashville.

Festival promoter Neil Davis shared the message in a video on Facebook: “The two talked saying they were excited to be at Creatures Fest – to see the fans – and they talked and thought it would be great for the fans to for all of us if they got together and played some songs during Ace’s set.”

Frehley would also give fans the opportunity to put together the setlist for the show, Davis said.

Criss and Frehley both left the band in the early ’80s. The former already in May 1980, the circumstances are not entirely clear, it is disputed whether he actually wanted to leave himself or whether he was thrown out by the others. Two years later, Frehley went his own way and was replaced on guitar by Vincent. Despite everything, both breakaways returned to Kiss in 1996 and reunited for the “Farewell Tour” in 2000.

On Friday (May 27th) Criss and Frehley will take the stage, on the following day it will be Vincent’s turn and the KISS weekend will end with Kulick’s performance on Sunday.

The band’s singer, Paul Stanley, recently announced that a comeback with the original line-up will no longer take place. A tour with Gene Simmons, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer is planned for autumn 2022.
