According to consistent media reports, FC Bayern Munich has fired its coach Julian Nagelsmann. When looking for a successor, there is a clear favorite.
The Bild newspaper and Kicker reported on Thursday evening (March 23, 2023) that the Bayern coach was out. Nagelsmann (35) is playing the worst Bundesliga season in eleven years with Bayern.
At the weekend, FCB put in a disappointing performance in the 2-1 defeat at Bayer Leverkusen and lost the Bundesliga lead to Borussia Dortmund. After the international break, there will be a direct duel with the leaders in Munich on April 1st.
Thomas Tuchel successor candidate
There had been reports of contact between Bayern and Thomas Tuchel for a long time, and he is now the hottest candidate for a successor. The 49-year-old has been without a club since being fired at Chelsea in September 2022. Tuchel won the Champions League with the Londoners in 2021, which earned him the title of World Coach of the Year 2021.
