Accidental check at airport kills killer after 26 years | Abroad

The 44-year-old man tried to fly from Düsseldorf to Barcelona. However, a check showed that he was wanted in Ireland for drug-related crimes. The airport police then took his fingerprints and learned that he was also convicted of a fatal shooting in 1997. He was now using a different name.

Because Albania has no statute of limitations for murder, the man can now be extradited by Germany to his native country.
