An ambulance and a passenger car collided on the Emmen Ring Road this morning. The accident happened at the intersection with Abel Tasmanstraat.
The ambulance eventually came to a stop against two traffic poles on the central reservation. There were two nurses in the ambulance, but no patient. They, like the driver of the passenger car, escaped unscathed. According to bystanders, the emergency service was on its way urgently.
Both vehicles are severely damaged at the front. The intersection of the Rondweg with the Abel Tasmanstraat is partly closed. It is not known how long this will last.
