The accident happened at the bottom of the exit of the A1. The cause is still unknown. Two of the four occupants of both cars were taken to hospital with unknown injuries. Both cars are heavily damaged. The exit is open and traffic is experiencing minimal disruption from the accident. A recovery company is on site to tow the vehicles.
