The medical and mechanical rescue services, the Fire Brigade, the traffic police patrols and the personnel of the Cassino section of Autostrade per l’Italia attended the crash site. The wounded were transported to Avellino, Benevento, Ariano Irpino and other hospitals. At 6.45, according to reports from Autostrade per l’Italia, the section between Candela and Grottaminarda in the direction of Naples, which had previously been temporarily closed, was reopened.
