Acapela, the tool that centralizes all your notifications on a single interface

On a daily basis, professionals receive a significant amount of notifications on different applications. This requires navigating between multiple interfaces, wasting valuable time.

Roland Grecke developed Acapela, a tool that consolidates all notifications in one place. Users can see them all at a glance and organize them. The objective is to successfully increase productivity.

A tool to increase efficiency

At first, it is necessary to download the tool. At the moment it is only available on MacOS. A simple connection to a Google or Slack account is then required. It is necessary to indicate the applications that we use on a daily basis among Notion, Gmail, Linear, Slack, Jira, Asana, Google Drive, Clickup and Figma. You have to connect to the ones you use.

Once installed, we discover an interface that looks like a classic mailbox. This means that getting started with Acapela is quick. In the “All’” tab, we find all of its notifications, all applications combined. They appear as a list, like emails. This allows you to have an overview of your different workspaces. However, it is possible to click on the icon of one of the apps to see the notifications on each of them.

Note that Acapela also allows you to create lists, allowing you to sort your applications. For example, it may be wise to carry out one only with communication solutions and another with those intended for project design. The objective is to organize yourself as you wish, and to see more clearly in your work in progress.

The tool offers the possibility to respond directly from the interface. This way you avoid switching between different tabs and wasting time when working on a client project or presentation. It may be interesting to use the custom filters to define the notifications to which you want to respond first. In this way, we can be more reactive when performing value-added tasks, and take care of the rest later. You can even mute notifications.

Acapela is a freemium tool. The free version allows you to create five inboxes on the platform and add three Slack workspaces. To have unlimited functionalities, you have to turn to the paid license, which amounts to 12 dollars per month.
