CMarco Giallini and Adriano Giannini are in the cast, Netflix recently announced the start of filming on ACAB The series. Six episodes coming in 2024 directed by Michele Alhaique And inspired by the book by the writer and journalist Carlo Bonini published in 2009. Which, in turn, was adapted for the big screen in 2012.

Set in a nocturnal Rome, the series follows the events of a team from the Mobile Department of Rome who suddenly finds himself without his boss. Seriously injured during a demonstration in Val di Susa. Thus, the Mazinga agents (Marco Giallini, already present in Sollima’s film)), Marta (Valentina Bellè) and Salvatore (Pierluigi Gigante) they find themselves with a new commander: Michele (Adriano Giannini), a “reformist” policeman convinced that certain old school police methods need to be completely re-established.
In fact, Mazinga and his companions, accustomed to the violence of the capital, rely on behavior at the limits of the law and in their team there is a tribal atmosphere, as if they were a family. To the tensions resulting from Michele’s arrival, other problems are added. That is to say a new wave of protests and people’s hatred towards the institutions.
The Mobile Department thus finds itself faced with a “hot” season of clashes and each of them will be faced with a choice. Between questioning their old systems, and the sense of belonging to their team, or embrace the new, less ferocious wayscarried out by Michele.

Filmed in 2012, ACAB – All Cops Are Bastards marked the filmmaker’s directorial debutin competition this year with Slowly at the Venice Film Festival. ACAB he was talking about a team of riot police each dealing with a series of troubles. Bound by a strong friendship, the three are shocked by the death of their colleague Filippo, killed during an action to appease a group of Catania ultras. So Negro, Mazinga and Cobra, Moved by anger and a thirst for revenge, they raid the headquarters of the ultras who had injured Mazinger and they start a fight with no holds barred.
