AC Milan are expected to sign Sergiño Dest from FC Barcelona and Aster Vranckx from VfL Wolfsburg

Sergiño Dest does not play a role in coach Xavi’s plans, saying goodbye to FC Barcelona in this transfer window is in the interests of the club and the player. After speculation about a move to Borussia Dortmund, where an exchange with Thomas Meunier (30) was under discussion, everything now looks like an agreement with AC Milan. Aster Vranckx will also be drawn to the Italian metropolis.

According to consistent media reports, Milan have agreed with Barça to loan 21-year-old right-back Dest. At the end of the season, the Italian champions have a purchase option said to be worth around €20m – pretty much the same amount the Catalans transferred to Ajax Amsterdam two years ago.

VfL Wolfsburg: Aster Vranckx to the medical check at AC Milan

While Dest is expected in Milan later in the day, another newcomer is already at the medical check-up. Wolfsburg’s Aster Vranckx was spotted Thursday morning at the Centro Ambrosiano di Medicina dello Sport and is expected to be presented shortly. Terms of the transfer: EUR 2 million loan fee and purchase option of EUR 12 million.
