A new report has been filed against abuse suspect Julian F. (24). F. is on trial for child abuse within at least one family where he was a childminder. The new complaint concerns the abuse of his nephew. A case that, according to the Public Prosecution Service, is separate from his later work as a babysitter. F. is also suspected of abusing animals. This became known on Monday in a non-substantive hearing in the abuse case against F.
F. was a childminder for at least eleven families with babies and toddlers in Breda, Den Bosch and Tilburg, among others.
The abuse of his nephew is said to have taken place between 2017 and 2018, when the boy was eleven or twelve years old. The report that the Public Prosecution Service has now released was made after it became known that F. had been detained in the abuse case against him as a babysitter.
In that first investigation into child abuse, child pornography was also found at F. It previously became clear that one babysitter had been identified in those images. Further research into the so-called data carriers on which these images were found has been completed, as became apparent during the hearing on Monday. No new cases of fornication have been discovered.
It also became clear on Monday that F. is suspected of abusing animals. It concerns a pig and a dog, the Public Prosecution Service revealed. The Public Prosecution Service has decided to also prosecute F. for these sexual acts with animals.
Role of second suspect
In the abuse case against F. as a babysitter, a second suspect is also on trial, Marco H. He is said to have received F.’s self-made abuse images and, according to the Public Prosecution Service, he also played an active role in the abuse of the babysitter. For example, chats have been read out, which show that H. makes all kinds of suggestions about what could happen to the boy.
“It’s perfect that he can’t talk yet,” H. is said to have sent to F., referring to the young age of the boy that was discussed in the conversations. H. himself has a TBS history in the field of child abuse. Extension of the TBS was rejected last year.
The two suspects were not present at the non-substantive hearing in the judicial complex at Schiphol on Monday.
