Two boys, aged 12 and 14, were arrested on Wednesday evening for assault and robbery. They managed to loot five euros from a peer on the Ginnekenstraat in Breda.
A 15-year-old boy reported to the police station around a quarter to seven. He told the officers that he had been assaulted and robbed of five euros. He knew one of his attackers. Based on that description, an officer knew who the other perpetrator was. Earlier that evening, he had already approached him in the Baroness shopping center because of a possible threat.
Hit and kick
The victim is walking with a friend in the city center of Breda when he sees the two boys walking, together with a girl. The two suspects grab him and take him to an alley on Ginnekenstraat. There they hit and kick him.
The two take five euros from the boy he has in his pocket. They run away the moment other people walk by. The girl who was with the two suspects filmed everything with her phone.
Arrested
Despite the fact that the suspects are minors, the public prosecutor considers the case serious enough to arrest both boys. They may even be put in a police cell overnight. Both teens were subsequently arrested.
