Katy Perry is creating a capsule collection for the Hamburg online retailer About You. The capsule includes 81 pieces, including women’s clothing and accessories, that reflect the singer’s “individual and expressive” style, About You said Tuesday.
“Whenever I design something, whether it’s fashion or shoes, I always ask myself, ‘Would I wear that in person?'” says Perry. She stresses that in the case of her About You collection, she would answer ‘yes’. The eye-catching designs combine clothing for everyday use with festive party outfits and focus primarily on details such as rhinestones, lacing and cut-outs.
However, the different looks of the collaboration not only stand out because of their different design elements, but also because of the choice of pattern and color scheme. In addition to clothes in shades of purple, green, blue and beige, there is also a dress with a metal look and a dress with a leopard print.
Various materials such as water-based PU and vegetable leather come together in the designs of the capsule. According to the company, attention was paid not only to the feel, but also to sustainable material alternatives.
The “Katy Perry x About You” collection will be released on November 2nd at 6 p.m. in sizes 34 to 44 and will cost between 14.90 euros and 189.99 euros.
