About fifty barrels of drug waste dumped near the Belgian border

About fifty barrels of drug waste were found on Bergbosweg in Budel on Friday morning. Some barrels are empty, others still contain liquids. There is also a large steel pan.

A passerby saw the barrels in the woods and called the police. According to a 112 correspondent on the spot, it is clear to see and smell that it concerns drug waste.

It is not clear whether the empty barrels have deflated on site or were already empty. These are jerry cans, four large tons and two large bulk containers.

The police are on site, the fire brigade is sending a hazardous substances adviser.

The Bergbosweg is a dead end for cars in a forest area. A little further on is a parking lot. The road is on the border with Belgium.
