They were all dressed in a white T-shirt with the image of the thirty-something and they wore a bracelet with the text “Justice for Drom’s”.
The white march started at the Château d’Oupeye, after which the crowd headed for Rue Perreau, where the thirty-something died. There was a minute of silence and white flowers were laid. Afterwards, those present chanted “Justice for Drom’s”, which was followed by thunderous applause. Then the crowd dispersed peacefully.
D’Atria was shot in Oupeye on August 18 by a police officer as he was riding his quad bike. Another officer had ordered him to stop, but he ignored the order. Following the death, riots broke out in the region around Oupeye.
