The number of clothing stores has fallen sharply since the start of the corona pandemic, ABN AMRO reports based on transaction data from the bank. The number of stores selling clothing fell roughly 10 percent between January 2020 and last August. Shoe stores and sales outlets for women’s and children’s clothing in particular are having a hard time.
