Abdi Ali (38) spent years in prison for robberies and a notorious stabbing in Zwolle. As a child he fled the war in Somalia. Using violence was a way of life for him. But during his second detention, the switch was finally turned. The Zwollenaar now has his own company and helps fellow sufferers. His neighbor Douwe Dijkstra (37) has recorded his life story in a documentary that will be shown on TV and will premiere next week at the Netherlands Film Festival.
