One of the two “A’s” from ABBA is going solo again: Agnetha Fältskog, who has released her next single. There will also be a suitable album soon.
In 2013, Agnetha’s fifth solo LP was released, simply titled “A”. It was the follow-up to 2004’s My Coloring Book, which featured the singer performing cover versions of well-known songs. On “A” there were songs written and produced by Agnetha and her producer Jörgen Elofsson, which were a kind of alternative to the then emerging EDM. In a more classic pop guise, the LP made it into the top 10 of the album charts in many different countries.
In her announcement for ‘A+’, Agnetha gives an insight into how she came up with the idea for the album remaster: ‘A few years ago I heard one of the songs from my last album ‘A’ on the radio. I have many fond memories from the recording of this album so I couldn’t help but smile…how time flies…All of a sudden it occurred to me how would the album sound like if we had made it today…? I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I turned to the guys who produced ‘A’ in 2013 – ‘What would you think of [das Album] reinterpret and make a whole new version of it?’ They loved the idea!”
With the new version of “Where Do We Go From Here?” there is already a foretaste of “A+”. The album will be released on October 13th.
