ABBA Voyage breaks the 1 million mark

The millionth visitor met the musician personally in London – and he spoke about the “ABBAtare” and their future.

Björn Ulvaeus personally welcomed the millionth visitor to the virtual residency concerts in London on Monday (April 17) and spoke about the “Voyage” shows and holograms. The guest of honor was 20-year-old Josie Felix.

“I’m looking forward to ‘Fernando’, ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Voulez-Vouz’, actually to all of them,” she says. The Independentquoted. “They said there would be a surprise, but I didn’t think it would be that big, it’s really extraordinary.” The ABBA composer was also surprised: “I would never have dreamed that in less than a year it would be a million. That means it’s packed almost every night, which is fabulous,” and gave his take on the virtual project on record: “Having lived with the technology and the project for over five years, it’s like the future looked like it was going to happen.” And further: “Copies of ourselves, avatars, will live on after we die, and that is the way of the future”.

The “ABBA Voyage” concerts have been taking place in the ABBA Arena in London since May last year. The “ABBAtare” show younger versions of the four band members and perform the most popular songs from the long discography of the Swedish pop group. The concept behind these shows is also the subject of an upcoming exhibition at Stockholm’s ABBA Museum.
