The 1992 album “Gold” is Abba’s most successful album. It has sold more than 32 million copies worldwide. On the occasion of the 30th birthday, an anniversary edition will be published on September 23rd. A video of “Thank You For The Music” has already been released as a taster.
“Gold” will be available in the following formats: Double LP Picture Disc – a heavyweight vinyl housed in a die-cut gatefold sleeve. The album is also available on gold or black cassette. Finally there is a golden double LP. This is a golden 2 x 180g vinyl. All of this can here be pre-ordered.
Even 30 years after its release, “Gold” is still breaking records. The album recently broke the 1,000 week mark in the UK Albums Chart. Björn Ulvaeus commented on the achievement with “Incredible!”. Benny Anderson joked: “Not bad for four turnips from Sweden”
