ABBA celebrated a brilliant comeback in autumn 2021 with their album “Voyage” – but the four have not made any joint appearances to date. But this is about to change, as the Swedish author and ABBA historian Carl Magnus Palm found out. Because Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Benny Andersson are supposed to appear together again for the big opening show of “ABBA Voyage”.
A memorable moment for the biggest ABBA fans
Benny and Björn are said to have announced this themselves when they were awarded the Government’s Music Export Prize 2022. A post read: “As ABBA announced themselves, today they have won the Government’s Music Export Prize 2022. Björn has revealed that all four ABBA members will be present at the ABBA Voyage opening on May 26th. When asked what he is most proud of when it comes to ABBA, Benny said the four are still such good friends despite going through marriages and divorces. Singer/pianist Jennie Abrahamson played a great version of ‘I Have A Dream’, which Benny followed with a ‘Yeah!’ elicited. He later approached her to thank her for her performance.”

The appearance is likely to remain a one-off
So if you managed to snag tickets for the opening show in London, you’re lucky to be able to witness this memorable moment. It is not known whether they also plan to sing some songs themselves. The “ABBA Voyage” show takes place in the ABBA Arena, which was specially built for the live event, and thanks to the “Abbatare” is supposed to be a visual spectacle – even if the band itself is usually not present.
