Attacker Aaron Poupendza died at the age of 28. This was confirmed by the Gabonian President Brice Oligui Nguema on Wednesday: “With great grief I found out of the tragic death of Aaron Poupendza, a talented center striker who was honored for Gabonian football. I speak out my sincere condolences to his family and his relatives. God bless his soul.”
The 34-fold international was only switched from Romania to Zhejiang FC to the Chinese Super League in January in 1923. According to media reports, Eboupendza from the eleventh floor of a building in China has fallen to death. Investigations into the exact processes have been taken, nor did there were any concrete indications.
Poupendza was discovered in his home country of Girondin’s Bordeaux, where he did not make the leap to the professionals. After a few borrowing, the striker moved to Hatayspor in the summer of 2020, where he immediately became the Süper Lig with 22 goals. This was followed by change to Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the MLS to FC Cincinnati. His transfer revenues rose to over 18 million euros. In China, he was able to contribute four goals and two templates in his first six missions.
