The A9 motorway in the direction of Amstelveen is currently closed at the Raasdorp interchange due to an accident involving several cars. The ANWB advises everyone to detour via Zaandam.
It is a multi-car accident. One person was injured and taken away by ambulance. A police spokesman said a driver has also been arrested and is suspected of driving under the influence. “He’s coming to the office now, but at least he already blew an A on the breathalyzer.”
The road is still closed and the cars that were unable to drive further due to the accident are still being diverted. After that, the accident can be recorded and the road cleared. It is not yet known how long the road will remain closed, “but it could just take another hour,” said the police spokesman.
