The A73 between Cuijk and Haps was closed for some time on Friday evening in the direction of Venlo because a truck had been jacked up. The driver was trapped and was freed by the fire brigade. Earlier in the evening, the entire highway was closed because the road was strewn with debris.
It is unclear how the trapped driver is doing. He was taken to hospital by ambulance. The cause of the accident is still unclear and is being investigated by the police.
Many emergency services responded to the accident. An air ambulance also landed on the highway surface. The road is now open again.
